Track and Field Equipment
The world’s first aluminum rocker hurdle, invented by company founder John Marzucco in 1949 and patented in 1952, is what started it all. But track hurdles were just the beginning for AAE track equipment. We soon expanded our line of track and field equipment for sale to include pole vault poles and equipment, high jump equipment, throwing equipment, starting blocks and anything else a track coach could need. |
Football Field Equipment
In 1965, AAE introduced its own football goal posts and rugby goal posts to local schools and universities. Our reputation for designing quality custom equipment is what ultimately spawned the first portable football goal posts for the Philadelphia Eagles’ summer camps in 1968. And today, AAE football field equipment can be found in numerous NFL stadiums...and at schools across the nation. |
Soccer Field Equipment
As early as 1968, existing customers began approaching AAE for better quality soccer goals than what was currently on the market. And it didn’t take long for us to offer a full line of soccer field equipment: permanent soccer goals, portable soccer goals, practice soccer goals, soccer goal nets and practice soccer goals for sale. We even designed the first Rollaway Combination Football Soccer Goal for Georgetown University’s rooftop field. |
Lacrosse Field Equipment
Dramatic growth of intercollegiate lacrosse in the Northeast during the early 1970s sparked greater demand for lacrosse field equipment in our region. Given our existing relationships with athletic directors and coaches for other sports equipment, AAE’s segue into manufacturing lacrosse goals, lacrosse nets and lacrosse backstop nets was a natural progression. |

Field Hockey Equipment
With popularity of our football goal posts, soccer goals and lacrosse goals swelling, field hockey goals were added to complete our goal line in the mid 70s. But we had to improve the design – so ours were the first offered with a bottom board cushioning system that substantially increased the life of our field hockey goals over competitors’ models. |
Baseball Field Equipment
Manufacturing discus cages for decades, AAE decided to branch out in the early 90s with its own baseball batting tunnels, baseball backstop netting and eventually baseball foul poles. And with an established line of baseball and softball field equipment like baseball benches and
bleachers, our baseball batting cage nets added another dimension to our support of the sport. |
Ball Stopper Sports Netting
The late 1980s saw an increase in multi-purpose sports fields – especially the inside track area used for everything from football and soccer to lacrosse and field hockey. This congestion of crossover practices created a ball containment problem that AAE solved with our Ball Stopper sports netting. Unique safety aspects of this backstop netting help protect other athletes, bystanders and property from the danger of stray balls. |
Athletic Field Equipment
Every sport has its own key equipment, but just as important are the peripheral items that can be used across all sports. Our video/band towers, portable bleachers, scorer's tables, team benches, team shelters and particularly our DONKEY elevated sports platform and portable press box products are integral in establishing well-equipped and successful athletic programs. |

Kronum Goals
Just when we thought our goal line was complete, we were approached in 2008 to fabricate a production quality goal for a cutting-edge, new sport created in the Philly Burbs – Kronum. As the Official Supplier of Kronum Goals to the Kronum League, AAE continues to stay in the forefront of the athletic industry. |
